Christian Armour
University of California, San Diego

Over the past year, Christian has been an outstanding asset to the Student Mail team and UC San Diego’s Logistics department as a whole. His dedication,
initiative, and professionalism have made a lasting impact, which is why I’m proud to nominate him for the Outstanding Team Member of the Year Award.
One of his biggest contributions was repurposing an old shelving unit into a color-coded mail sequencer, which significantly improved our sorting process and saved the team countless hours. He also helped revamp our support case system by implementing a daily assignment strategy, reducing backlog, speeding up response times, and improving customer satisfaction. He’s incredibly dependable—always on time, flexible when coverage is needed, and someone the team can count on.
He’s also stepped up as a mentor, offering guidance and support to new team members in a way that promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
Customer service is where Christian truly shines. Whether helping walk-in visitors or resolving support cases, he’s consistently courteous, efficient, and effective. His helpfulness has earned him multiple compliments from staff, students, and customers alike. Beyond Student Mail, Christian regularly supports other Logistics units, including Receiving & Distribution and Campus Mail. His time working at our off-campus Trade Street location was instrumental in helping them manage package backlogs during staffing shortages. His wide-ranging knowledge and willingness to step in wherever needed have made him a go-to resource across departments.
Christian took the initiative to attend the MAILCOM conference this past year, earning certifications in both Leadership and Staff Development and Office Services Management. He has brought back useful insights and connections that have proved beneficial for our team.
Though not a supervisor, Christian helps lead a team of 15+ student workers and does so by example. He consistently goes above and beyond his role, and any team would be lucky to have someone like him. This is why Christian would be a great candidate to win this award!

Christi Turner
Utah State University, Eastern

Christi's work is never done. She focuses on making sure the job is done well and safely. Her main focus is always
on correcting our processes and policies to safeguard against human error, unsafe situations, and unseen circumstances. If I could describe Christi's managerial style I would say "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".
Christi's cost savings appear largely in two categories.  The first is what I consider her more overlooked
contribution; her safety measures. In this I refer to her making sure the job is done right with the correct tools and necessary training. She works very hard to make sure waste within the department is kept to a minimum.  The second is also vital and appropriately more noticeable: Christi is active in assessing our costs and whether it is an effective use of the University’s money and our teams’ time. During the past two years she has worked tirelessly to find contractors who are reliable and cost effective. Where the university and the state push us to go with the cheapest, Christi found this ended with "fixes" needing to occur multiple times, along with patch jobs. Christi has worked tirelessly to negotiate quality work at a fair price that satisfies the state, university, and our needs as a team.

Heather Reimer
Colorado State University

It is my honor to award Heather Reimer this year’s ARMCUMS Presidential Award for Excellence.  Heather embodies leadership, commitment, and collaboration, consistently strengthening our organization’s culture.
Last year was my first year on the board, and Heather’s guidance on the Communications Committee was invaluable. She helped launch our social media platforms, organized timelines, and provided the structure and foundation that the committee needed. Her presence and knowledge definitely made me more confident stepping into the role of President.
This year, on the Awards Committee, Heather’s vision elevated the nomination process, streamlined website content, and produced marketing that boosted visibility and supported the Communications team. I can always count on Heather to be one of the first to work with her team to develop her committee’s strategic plan and onboarding process for new committee members.
Throughout her time with ARMCUMS, Heather has demonstrated deep knowledge, and dedication to our mission, and leadership that inspires others. Her work has left a lasting impact on our committees, our members, and me personally. I knew that if I ever had the chance to recognize her contributions, I would!  Heather, thank you for all that
you do—you are truly deserving.

Robert “Bob” Trumbull
University of Wyoming

Bob, is a founding member of ARMCUMS, and has been involved since it's inception. The award was created to honor people just like Bob, so I feel he's well-deserving. He has been a part of ARMCUMS since it
began, served in multiple positions on the board over the years. Bob also served on many committees. Bob has touched many ARMCUMS members' lives over the years, and has been selflessly helpful. What can I say? Bob Trumbull is truly an exceptional individual — something I know many of you already recognize.
Since the founding of ARMCUMS in 1998, Bob has been a key part of its journey. Though often quiet and reserved, his passion and deep knowledge of mail services always came through clearly. He was committed to doing things the right way and equally dedicated to both sharing what he knew and continuing to learn. Over the years, Bob has mentored countless members of the ARMCUMS community. He genuinely valued the camaraderie and professional connections built at our annual conferences. He was often among the first to arrive at events and training sessions and one of the last to leave, always ensuring others left with clarity and confidence. Bob’s dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed.
His contributions have earned him several honors, including the ARMCUMS Mail Center Manager Award in 2005 and the ARMCUMS Distinguished Service Award in both 2012 and 2017. Not to mention a couple of awards from NACUMS, also. But beyond his professional
accomplishments, Bob is a kind, generous, and deeply caring person.
The University of Wyoming was very lucky to have benefitted from his years of dedicated service.
Bob recently celebrated his retirement. Forty-Five-plus years — what an amazing milestone!  Enjoy it, Bob!
It’s well-deserved!
