The Mail Manager of the Year Award was renamed in 2012, the Alan Burke Mail Manager of the Year in honor of Alan Burke, long-time ARMCUMS Member, and University of Arizona Mail Services Manager.

Alanna attended the conference in St. George in 2012 and was presented the award in memory of her father.

In 2024, the ARMCUMS Board of Directors renamed the Distinguished Service Award to the Steve Burn Distinguished Service Award in recognition of Steve Burn’s exceptional contributions to the industry and the association. As the Director of the Departments of Central Receiving at Colorado State University, Steve received the Lifetime Service and Excellence Award in 2024, a testament to his unwavering dedication and leadership.

Beyond his distinguished service, Steve played a pivotal role in the establishment of ARMCUMS, making this renaming especially meaningful. The award was renamed in his honor on the 25th anniversary of ARMCUMS’ founding, ensuring his legacy of commitment and excellence continues to inspire future generations.
